Hobbies
To relax, I read, crochet, solve crossword puzzles, and play cards, board games, or do jigsaw puzzles. I also very much enjoy yoga, pilates, hiking, and walking on the beach. I believe strongly in being a lifelong learner. Accordingly, I strive to learn something new every day. One of the things that made me want to be an educator was recognizing and fostering the intellectual curiosity in my own children. It really made be passionate about learning and education. Unfortunately, the traditional classroom environment is often fraught with challenges that take the joy out of teaching. I have found much greater satisfaction and success when I have been able to work more closely with students who are motivated and anxious to excel.
